I worked at Suncor full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Suncor is a great company to work for in IT. The other employees are friendly, they offer free training and certification, and the lower/middle management team is great.

Leadership communicates well, and for the most part they explain their actions.

They offer excellent benefits, lots of vacation and personal time off. Bonus plan and restricted stock units for high performers.

Overall Suncor is a great place to work.

    Cons

Relocated Petro Canada to Calgary, created a lot of job losses. Although they offered relocation packages there is no need for IT to relocate these days.

They flattened the organization structure in IT, which will limit progression on a management track.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Suncor (Mississauga, ON (Canada)).

    Interview

A self-recorded video interview through a third party. You answer questions from a website while recording yourself. You have 2 or 3 attempts at answering each question. Overall it was an awkward experience
