Application
I applied online. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Suncor (Sarnia, ON (Canada)).
Interview
Began with a recorded video interview (prerecorded questions, you record your answers). Fairly typical questions - why do you want to work for the company, what are your strengths and weaknesses. A number of behavioural questions as well - typically something about conflict, safety, difficult task, greatest accomplishment. Following this, there were two video interviews, with actual people on the other end. The first was with HR and two supervisors. Many of the same questions as the recorded interview. Next was an interview with the manager. This one was a lot more about getting to know each other and to see if you are a good fit. He asked mostly about background, interests, what you think of the city, etc.
