I have been working at TPI Composites full-time (More than a year)
I have worked with TPI for 1 year and I truly love the opportunities that I have had with the company in such a short amount of time. I am able to assist the associates with their career goals, recognition and community contacts. I am also able to be out in the community helping to provide TPI with a positive outlook in the development of local projects such as fundraising, housing and transportation. I am very excited for what the future holds for wind energy and TPI Composites. TPI become a public company in July of 2016 and I am very excited to see what that will bring to Newton, IA.
I am not sure that I have any items that are negative with TPI. The associates and community have been welcoming and friendly with all of our events and activities. I also hope that TPI can move towards a more work/ life flexible platform so we have more opportunity to work from home when needed.
Advice to Management
TPI Iowa is growing and continues to be very busy and we feel very crowded in the office and in the plant. I wish that we could have more room to entertain community members, visitors and to provide more opportunities for onsite training. TPI Corporate is located in AZ and they are extremely accommodating and very receptive to any and all our needs.
I applied online. I interviewed at TPI Composites (Newton, IA) in April 2017.
Applied online for a Process Engineer opening. People were very friendly and the interview itself was easy. Basic behavioral questions. They found a better fit for a company of their size with a different candidate, which is fine and I understood. What made the experience negative was I traveled nearly 600 miles (driving) for the interview, and they won't return any emails, calls, or voicemails about my transportation reimbursement. I have no issue with them finding a better candidate than me, but not staying true to your word for reimbursing my mileage and meals is very unprofessional. Make sure you get it in writing.
