I have been working at The Salvation Army full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

In my experience, the Salvation Army values their employees and treats them with respect. This job provides for good work/life balance and they really care about people.

    Cons

There isn't a lot of room for career advancement here because it is a church and the leadership positions are mostly held by Officers (pastors) of the Salvation Army.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Salvation Army (Chicago, IL) in January 2018.

    Interview

The interview process was a three-step process.First, it included a detailed 8-question written response questionnaire. The second step was a 30-minute group phone interview with the hiring managers, followed by a face-to-face interview.
