I have been working at Travelers full-time (More than 8 years)
Work life balance is supported and encouraged, very stable company, and I have found people to be enjoyable to work with for the most part.
Offices are nothing special, no frills such as free coffee or an employee lounge, and bonuses are not incredible even when you are a top performer.
Advice to Management
Pay attention to local dynamics. The overall company strategy is a winning one, but we have lost a decent amount of people in my field office (in my opinion) due to a more one-size-fits-all home office approach which has left some folks feeling like they need to leave to further their careers/incomes.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (New York, NY) in February 2012.
Interview with a recruiter and then three different interviews with hiring managers of three different departments.
