I have been working at UDR full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
The culture at UDR shows how much they care to take care of associates, as they know that when we buy into the culture, we will all work together better and think of ways to improve the business. We have weekly check-ins with our SVP, my Manager and Director have good open door policies and appreciate feedback going in both directions.
Cons
Insurance is merely medocre, and doesn't start for 60 days after start date. All previous employers start coverage from day 1. I've also heard some stories of employees having to fight to get things covered that should be. Fortunately they were successful when working with HR to get them covered, but should not have been a fight in the first place.
Advice to Management
Look into more competive and complete health coverage. Getting much better coverage through my spouse's company, which is a much smaller group.

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at UDR (Highlands Ranch, CO) in October 2017.
Interview
I applied online and the process took about 25 minutes. Within an hour I had received an email for a phone interview the following Monday. When it came time for them to call me Monday morning, I never received a call so I called the office to follow up myself. After a few failed attempts to get in contact with the hiring manager, I sent her an email stating I never receive her call and would like to reschedule if possible. I did not receive a response until that evening stating they made an offer for the position I was going to interview for so they just never called me and figured It wasn’t important to notify me that no longer needed to interview me. Without me contacting them they would have just never spoken to me and acted like I didn’t exist. I found this very rude and figured a company with such a poor HR staff/system set in place is not somewhere I would like to work.
