I worked at UDR full-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
You can get to know the residents well and work with them. Many are temporary students at colleges. Offered training and certification as needed.
Cons
The property is not large and has a small Maintenance area. Leadership changed often and the larger projects they wanted done were never initiated to improve the property.
Advice to Management
Create a break room for the staff. Follow through with improvement plans to create pride in the property.
