    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Viacom (Los Angeles, CA) in February 2019.

    Interview

Screening interview from HR first that lasted 30 minutes with a series of questions about previous experience and a chance to ask about the role. Discussed company culture and compensation for the role. Next was a panel interview lasting 1.5 hours, in three waves of 30 minute "rounds" with three higher level individuals in each round. Questions ranged from previous experience to knowledge of the media industry, why I want to work for Viacom, where do you see yourself in 3 years etc. Long discussion/exchange of what the role entailed specifically. Mostly everyone asked questions about who I am outside of work to determine if I'd be a good fit personality wise since it involves a lot of team collaboration.
