    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Washington State University (Seattle, WA) in April 2010.

    Interview

I visited the university 1 year before I finished my MS degree and met my adviser then. I emailed him my interest of being a graduate student working with him. Later I had the interview when both of us went to a conference. The whole process was smooth.
