I worked at YRC Freight part-time (Less than a year)
understanding and helpful employees, simple job, a good physical workout.
when you are a part time employee, you are on-call. some weeks you will be offered lots of hours and other weeks you will get barely any offered to you. if they do take you on full time, be prepared to work any and all hours offered to you. as a part time employee (aka: casual) you can turn down hours. As a full time employee, you could be working 40 hours per week + depending on what the company needs.
Advice to Management
For the most part, all of my supervisors were really nice and helpful. The only thing I can recommend is that supervisors agree upon standards for going about certain tasks and responsibilities so that there isn't a conflict of opinion.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at YRC Freight (Phoenix, AZ) in January 2013.
Took only one interview to get a job offer that followed a drug test and background that took over a month because the HR system is flawed. Started with no heads up on what to expect or wear or anything like that.
No negotiating take it or leave it offer.
