I worked at Zovio full-time (More than a year)
I worked at Bridgepoint Education for just under two years, ending in 2011. In that time, we built a business intelligence capability from scratch. I found the Business Technology and Engineering (BTE) department to be one of the most personally rewarding places I’ve ever worked. The overall vibe of the BTE, from the CIO down, was that engineers are encouraged to do great work, allowed to innovate, rewarded for it and, overall, appreciated. The employee culture was results-oriented yet informal. The benefits were very good. Had I been approached, and then offered a tempting package elsewhere, I would have stayed longer. In retrospect, I truly wish I had stayed at Bridgepoint.
I have no concerns to share about Bridgepoint Education.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zovio (Poway, CA) in October 2011.
Panel interview, combining hands-on engineering demo of basic skills in MS BI Dev Studio. Interviewers asked me to describe capabilities, and functionality, of SQL Server Analysis Services, and of dimensional data modeling. The interviewers were keen on establishing a positive rapore from the beginning, in order to pave the way for a positive team environment. It worked!
