    Pros

Gorgeous aesthetic. Hardworking team. Always felt comfortable, safe, and appreciated.

    Cons

When I started working they were severely understaffed. It was difficult to find someone to train me.

    Advice to Management

Some managers weren't as good about making sure all associates had a balanced task load.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at & Other Stories (Los Angeles, CA) in October 2017.

    Interview

Were very prompt about getting back to me in a timely manner and moving the process along. Started with a phone interview then moved straight to executive level interview with head's of design. Went through a LENGTHY and very formal questionnaire where i was asked a mixed of standardized questions that were a snooze fest (this lasted about an hour). While the two heads were pleasant, there was an air of pretentiousness. After I seemingly "passed the test" I was asked to come in for a final/3rd interview with what would have been my coworkers/peers. The two other designers I interviewed with asked me the SAME LENGTHY VANILLA QUESTIONNAIRE- so non-personal and extremely rigid and formal. Had to answer the same questions yet again for another hour. Questions like "what makes you a good designer" or "why should we hire you" followed by them taking lengthy stares and judgmental "mmmhmmm's". The air of pretentiousness was upped to x's 20 as they assessed whether or not I would be a "good fit" . Also, its important to mention the incredible lack of diversity in that office. They seem to hire "a type". Basically if you aren't Swedish or you don't have the "american girl look" no need to apply!
