And with an inventory of almost 10 million contacts, we are more likely to have your prescription in stock than anyone else, which means you'll receive your contacts fast.

In the last 11 years, 1-800 CONTACTS has filled more than 15 million orders for over 5 million customers. In a single day, we sell as many contact lenses as 2,500 retail optical shops combined. Our large volume and central distribution facility help keep costs down - and we pass the savings on to you.

At 1-800 CONTACTS, our goal is to make it as easy and convenient as possible to purchase your contacts. In support of that goal, we offer simple ordering by phone, Internet, mail or fax, along with over 250 trained customer service agents ready to provide live help 7 days a week. Full-time associates (scheduled and working a minimum of 30 hours per week) are eligible for medical, dental and life and disability insurance. Associates also enjoy a healthy 401(k) match, personal time and paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, employee assistance programs and much more.

    Pros

    I started at 1-800 CONTACTS over 14 years ago to work as an E-commerce Software Development Lead. I can honestly say that coming to 1-800 CONTACTS was truly the best career decision I've ever made. Management truly cares about the individual, and we treat each other like family here. I've grown more than I ever imagined, and have been empowered to control my career as well as help the company grow. Servicing our customer, and constantly improving their experience, drives everything we do, and is truly the focus of the company. I'm proud to work for such a great company, with such great customer service, and I hope to continue to be here for as long as I can.

    Cons

    1-800 CONTACTS has always had great success. As the company has grown it has struggled, as any successful company does, with the growing pains and to keep up with the culture and roots the company was founded upon. However, I am always impressed that the company has not stopped seeking ways to improve as we go, heal the growing pains through constant improvement and adjusting as we go, and continues to make this the best place to work.

    Advice to Management

    I've been impressed that 1-800 CONTACTS management takes feedback seriously, and really does want to strive to improve any areas that are lacking. I am always impressed by the comradery of the management team, and how much they truly care about the customers and employees. I think as long as 1-800 CONTACTS continues to focus on customer service, and the individual employee, I believe it will continue to succeed.
