Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Where would you move (within the US) if you could move anywhere? And why there? Currently in NY, lease is up soon, working remotely forever. Never lived anywhere else in the US. I love nature, animals..snorkeling, horseback riding, working out gives me life.

InterviewI was contacted by a third party recruiter about this role. I decided to interview for it. The initial interview with HR was a pleasant conversation that took 30 minutes. Then I had to complete 2 exams. They were not exactly difficult. The next interview was with the director for about an hour and some change. It was also a pleasant conversation and the company seemed like a good place to work. However, I guess they didn't want to proceed as I was ghosted at that point. Thankfully, I'm employed and on good terms with my employer. I think they wanted to move quickly and I would have to turn in a 2 to 3 week resignation to perform KT with my current team. However, ghosting does reflect badly on a company when they have an ATS. A simple no would suffice.
