    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at A.T. Cross full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great brand, long heritage, wonderful products, craftsmanship, original US/RI brand, innovation, opportunities in new segments like leather, watches and accessories, be part of a turnaround story

    Cons

Tough business, missing distribution, not enough funding for marketing activities, low brand awareness or relevance, long development processes, too slow and bureaucratic

    Advice to Management

Faster decisions, clearer directions, invest more in non-writing product development, open up for more creative marketing ideas

    Product Design Engineer Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at A.T. Cross (Lincoln, RI) in August 2014.

    Interview

I applied for Product Design Engineer position online and got a phone interview first. Phone interview was pretty easy and HR person was nice. Asked about my resume. After about 2 weeks, I got an email telling me to have a on site interview. In the interview, I talked to two managers that I would be working with. After the interview, I was told I would be contacted. But it never happened. No phone calls, no emails. Even after I email them asking about the possibility of joining the company, I never got a reply. This is not what a good company should do.
