Share our vision, join our team.
We come from different disciplines and different perspectives, but we are all working together to make a positive, lasting impact on people’s lives. Whether it’s helping connect people through transportation, designing cities and parks where people live and play, or helping nations grow and remain secure, we share a single purpose: to deliver a better world.
We embrace the diversity of every employee through an inclusive and accountable culture.
At AECOM, Diversity and Inclusion are embedded in our core values and is a key driver of our success. Our innovation is enhanced by our ability to draw from a wealth of different backgrounds and experiences. Our diversity also enables us to better understand our clients and the communities in which we live and work.
An inclusive culture is a dynamic, active and intentional environment that increases individual and organizational performance by creating opportunities for all employees to achieve their full potential. With our employees serving clients in more than 150 countries, we recognize that sustaining a diverse and inclusive work environment is critical to our future success.
We believe in fostering an environment free from discrimination and harassment and ensuring equal opportunities in all areas of employment, including recruitment, hiring, training and promotion. We want to ensure that all employment practices are objective and free from bias, are based solely on work criteria and individual merit and meet the broader goals and objectives of the company.
We are committed to working effectively across differences such as gender, culture, generation, race and sexual orientation. We not only want to be accepting of these differences — we want to honor them through inclusivity.

Engineers without Borders
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) helps create a more stable and prosperous world by addressing people’s basic human needs — providing necessities such as clean water, power, sanitation and education.
Through the implementation of pro-bono engineering projects, EWB partners with underserved communities to implement sustainable engineering projects such as potable water systems, sanitation systems, dams, roads and bridges, and energy systems. They also provide community capacity-building activities such as training to empower local residents to maintain projects and engage them in the development of future projects benefiting their communities.
AECOM partners with EWB in helping to advance its mission. We offer several support options to our employees, including: a) membership promotion and participation throughout the organization; b) financial support to participating staff to cover personal travel expenses associated with EWB trips; c) support of EWB activities by providing access to company facilities and other resources; and d) access to a vast network of technical expertise.

Advice to Management
Once a gorilla size, you do no wrong and competition is fading...
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at AECOM.
We talked on my skills that I have learned throughout my college career and some goals that I wanted to achieve in an internship. The interviewer was very nice and it was refreshing to talk about actual projects, not HR questions on my personality.
