  • Culture
  • Marital status

With our employees serving clients in more than 150 countries, we recognize that sustaining a diverse and inclusive work environment is critical to our future success.

We believe in fostering an environment free from discrimination and harassment and ensuring equal opportunities in all areas of employment, including recruitment, hiring, training and promotion. We want to ensure that all employment practices are objective and free from bias, are based solely on work criteria and individual merit and meet the broader goals and objectives of the company.

We are committed to working effectively across differences such as gender, culture, generation, race and sexual orientation. We not only want to be accepting of these differences — we want to honor them through inclusivity.

I have been working at AECOM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great focus on innovation and setting trends in industry. High performers will be recognized with corporate support and opportunities. Like any corporation, the experience here can be flavored by the team you work in. There are great ones, and not so great ones.

    Cons

Heavy focus on large projects which can deflate those who work on smaller ones. Benefits are mediocre for such a large company who should be able to leverage their buying power for a better benefits package. Focus on utilization can be a distraction.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the utilization focus and empower staff to work and grow, not bill. The outcome may even be better!

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at AECOM (Houston, TX) in August 2017.

    Interview

It was relaxing. However, they put phone on speaker and their voice cannot be heard clearly. Overall, the questions are not difficult, but did not give an expecting time line for the next step, just mention that they will hand over the file and answers to HR manager and he will decide.
