I have been working at APCO Worldwide full-time (More than 5 years)
APCO offers a variety of different kinds of project work and opportunities to take on new assignments and reinvent yourself. The word that's often used is entrepreneurial, which is true up and down the line of command. Everyone is very accessible but expectations are high. We work hard, and MDs try to find ways to get people to kick back and get to know one-another. Work life balance is what you make of it, but generally pretty good.
Clients come first, which is great. But sometimes that means there's not a lot of focus on internal process and management. But compared to other firms I've worked with, it seems APCO is ahead of the game in many ways.
I applied online. The process took 3+ weeks. I interviewed at APCO Worldwide (New York, NY).
Applied via their company website and heard back within two weeks. First had an initial phone interview where I spoke to the HR department. The questions were pretty general, make sure you can sum up what the company does pretty well. Next is a video interview with two or more staff members, usually includes a higher level excutive so be presentable. Because I am out of state my video was done via the Zoom app. Again the questions were pretty standard, they really want to know about your previous experience. It honestly felt like a conversation between new friends. Afterwards I completed a two hour long writing test. Not questions you can really prepare for so just try your best, though I did not find it too difficult. I heard back with an offer about a week and a half later
