    I worked at APCO Worldwide full-time


    - very flat organization, lots of access to upper level management - lots of opportunity, particularly at the junior level to take on high level projects and interface directly with clients - very positive work culture and supportive co-workers from senior management down


    - extremely low pay, but generally consistent with the PR industry standard - lots of turnover among junior staff which is mainly due to the low pay, but also generally consistent with PR industry staff - annual review process is extremely ambiguous and unstructured - some VP level managers have no idea how to manage people

    Advice to Management

    - make pay more competitive, especially in NY

    The interview process took about a month. There were three rounds of interviews: 1) phone screening, 2) multiple back-to-back interviews with two people each, and 3) a final interview with two additional senior-level employees and a very long writing test.
