Mostly interesting work and projects. Nice people to work with. A lot of cool things can be learned.
Contractors are always a 2nd sort, and the company often reminds about this. Not on purpose, I believe, but you can definitely feel it.
Contractors cannot use the gym, contractors cannot use the side-doors of the office buildings, contractors usually are not invited on the meetings.
The most nasty thing is when you receive a corporate email regarding the whatever interesting activity within the company, you apply, and then the manager tell you that you cannot participate because this is for the full-time employees only.
Why you include contractors in these emails then?
Advice to Management
Leave the full-time - contractor employee differences for the paper.
I applied online. I interviewed at ARINC.
Friendly interviewers. Had two people interview at once. Questions made up while they read resume. Overall the interview was simple and to the point. No curveball questions.
