ARYZTA's Otis Spunkmeyer brand is spotlighted in Food Business News: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vQtv0

In support of No Kid Hungry, ARYZTA has developed an Otis Spunkmeyer "Orange Cookie" to be sold to its customers in the foodservice, retail grocery and fundraising channels. In addition, La Brea Bakery, an ARYZTA brand and the industry leader in Artisan Bread, will be a sponsor of Taste of the Nation Los Angeles.
ARYZTA is a great place to work because we have a company culture that rewards hard work, embraces new ideas and is filled with people just like you who are dedicated to what they do.
I have been working at ARYZTA (More than a year)
I started as a contractor and was eventually hired on as ARYZTA employee. There is plenty of opportunity to give input and/or change policies if there is a more efficient way to accomplish something. In order to survive in this environment you have to be a self-started, need minimal supervision and be prepared to WORK. This is not the type of job that will require you to push paper from one side of the desk to the other. If you want a challenge and can handle projects being delegated to you from every direction, this may be the job you consider.
We have a fun-committee that arranges cool things for us to do once a month that help us engage with other departments in the office. The people that work here are great. It helps my day seeing smiling faces and makes my job less stressful.
Waaaaay too much food all the time – not good for my diet.
Took a long time for me to be converted into a full-time employee, required a lot of patience on my behalf.
Advice to Management
I would like to see more training for employees that request it.
Hire employees that are doing a good job and mainstream the process so contractors don't have to wait so long to be converted.
I applied online. I interviewed at ARYZTA in April 2017.
You can tell why this company is having so many issues. The hiring manager even brought up all of the bad Glassdoor reviews and that if potential candidates saw them, they would just have to decide for themselves. (This was an unsolicited comments - so others must have been asking him about the reviews) Pulled myself out of the process after speaking with the VP, who thought very highly of himself and explained he was there because of all his accomplishments. Based on the attitude of this hiring manager, it is certainly not a company I would want to work for...or for him. (interesting - they have VP's report into VP's here).
