ASI – Why Work For Us?

ASI is one of the 15 largest homeowners insurance carriers in America, with plans to become nationwide by 2017. We set big goals, and we achieve them by paying close attention to the details. We care most about people and their local communities, and we work hard to go above and beyond everywhere we offer coverage.

We are passionate about insurance and people. We also believe these two interests go hand-in-hand, which is why we cherish every relationship we create. Our success relies on the combined efforts and impacts of our partners, independent agents, team members and policyholders.

Our Values

At ASI, our values dictate every decision we make, big and small. Our three core values listed below are the building blocks of the ASI culture.

Attitude

We live and breathe positivity. Our optimistic, supportive and respectful nature is at the heart of our company’s success.

Speed

From fast underwriting experiences to first responders during natural disasters, we are committed to enhancing every product and service we offer as quickly as possible.

Innovation

We transform ideas into realities. Our inspiring, creative and clever team challenges the status quo by seeking improvement every chance we get.

Our corporate culture and values are fundamental to our strategy to be the best in the industry. We focus intensely on three important principles: Attitude, Speed, and Innovation®. These values shape our organization. We consider ourselves a family and strive to sustain a happy, fun workplace. ASI’s success is a result of embracing this team effort.

As ASI President and CEO John Auer so simply said, “Insurance is a people and relationship business. The positive attitudes projected by our people are a significant strategic advantage at ASI.”

Our achievements have permitted rapid growth and new opportunities to add to our amazing team. We work to attract, retain and motivate our employees by offering great benefits such as competitive pay, support for growth and development, and many other unique rewards.

Employees cannot stop talking so emphatically about the company. This enthusiasm is shown by both the Tampa Bay Times newspaper and Florida Trend magazine naming ASI as one of the “Top Work Places” and one of “Florida’s Best Companies to Work For,” respectively.

ASI hires professionals who possess a variety of skills, interests and educational backgrounds. Our recruiting and screening process is designed to select candidates whose personality will emulate our company culture. Once you join the ASI team, you will have ample reason to maintain a positive attitude.

    Claims Representative Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY
    No Offer
    Negative Experience

    Application

The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at ASI (New York, NY).

    Interview

Initial screening interview with HR rep was very positive. Upbeat and inspiring selling the company as the next best to Disneyland. I was lead to believe I was shoe in and given my qualifications (CPCU/JD/25 YRS) ONE WOULD. THINK I might just handle the job sleeping. Pass a schizophrenic personality test and the a 2nd grade level assessment proctured. Clearly warrented for a highly educated person. Mmm. Then out of the blue like many folks on this site the impersonal email stating yu r sol comes? Age? Overqualified? Gee have the professionalism to tell folks a reason after that far in the process. Anyway glad not to pursue as this site reveals. Thank yu glassdoor
