    I have been working at ATPCO full-time (Less than a year)


    Competitive pay, flex-time, great benefits, free parking, located next to the airport which is convenient for travel. Good training budget. Easy to get licenses for any software you need for you job. I like my manager and my manager's manager. Not too fond of my manager's manager's manager, though. Nor her manager. There's a lot of layers in this company.


    It's a weird combination of old-timers who are stuck in their old ways of doing things and new people who don't understand why we can't be innovative and agile. I am optimistic about change, but I think it's going to be a slow, painful process.

    Advice to Management

    Don't use "because that's how we have always done it" as a reason for ANYTHING. Really think critically about how and why you are moving in a certain direction, and make sure your reasons for doing so are valid. Be open to ideas. Don't be scared of trying something new.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ATPCO (Dulles, VA) in December 2016.


    Submitted my application on LinkedIn and was contacted by a recruiter about two weeks later. Recruiter conducted a phone screening and about three days after that did a more in-depth interview. After passing that round, I met with the hiring manager for an in-person interview at the work site. Was made an offer less than a week later.

    Interview Questions

    • I was given a scenario and asked to walk the hiring manager through a solution. It was more involved than I initially expected, but it was also a great way to get a sense of the job expectations and responsibilities. This process involved both a verbal explanation in the 1-on-1 interview and also a follow-up written exercise.   Answer Question
