I have been working at ATPCO full-time

    Pros

I came here fairly recently, and while I see a company that has a lot of "old" mindsets, but I also see a lot of good changes happening.

Overall I like my work/life balance, and I get along well with my coworkers.

    Cons

While the changes are happening, there are some "old" mindsets that will be difficult to change.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the change, or wind up like a horse-drawn carriage company in an age of cars.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ATPCO (Dulles, VA) in May 2017.

    Interview

Wasting time. They are very picky about hiring people: for one opening position they may interview 50 people and only hire one candidate. They asked a lot of questions not related to daily work or past experiences. Also be careful that even if you are hired there is a 6 month probation period. During this period you don't have any PTO or sick leave or life insurance.

    Interview Questions

    • Spring MVC architect, java 8 and 7 features, override and overload, one example that you overcame difficulty in your work. Spring bean default scope.
JUnit coding and caching coding for 1 hour   Answer Question
