    Pros

The US company president is a fair and affable guy, with keen business acumen.

    Cons

Being headquartered in Taiwan the local operations will forever be reliant on off shore agendas and support.

    Advice to Management

More autonomy for the US based company would help AverMedia to prosper in the US market better.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AVerMedia (Taipei (Taiwan)) in August 2009.

    Interview

1st interview: department manager. it was a nice and casual talk. didn't go through too much to professional knowledge. there was a language and personality test before the interview.
2nd intervide: Human resource dept. & Dept. manager. mostly the personality check. the HR was quite green. didn't get to the point through the process.

    Interview Questions

    • If i would talk over my family business in the future.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

i showed my bottom line to soon. job title and salary are negotiable, but have to be very careful since they don't really like applicants negotiating those terms.
    go with a comparable offer.
