AWeber – Why Work For Us?

AWeber TeamTom Kulzer founded AWeber in 1998, with a goal to make email marketing simpler and more profitable for small businesses.

18 years later, we’re still doing that. AWeber builds web-based software to help over 120,000 small businesses, non-profits and entrepreneurs around the world reach more people with email newsletter campaigns.

We’ve grown from a one-man operation to a team of over 100 strong and we’re still growing! We work with a set of Core Values that capture what matters to us - working together, learning together and helping thousands of small businesses grow and prosper.

If working with an AWesome team and giving back to the community we’re deeply rooted in sounds like your kind of thing, click on one of our job listings to the right and apply today!

We can’t wait to welcome you onto our team.

I Love AWeberSince Tom Kulzer founded AWeber in 1998, many bright, creative problem-solvers have joined the team in Chalfont, PA.

As we enter our 18th year in business, our talented team continues to expand as we accomplish our mission of building AWesome tools to support our growing base of customers. Driven by that mission, our team uses a set of six core values to guide our decisions and innovation on a daily basis.

Create Remarkable Experiences

Anyone can say they're remarkable. But how many companies will, say, knock your socks off with their customer service and then send you a new pair of socks in the mail?

That's the kind of thing AWeber does. We know our customers' names and we're here seven days a week with personalized support.

Execute With Passion

The key to creating remarkable experiences is our passion to drive and deliver results. Once we commit to an idea or task, our team plans and executes with passion. Providing fantastic service and support is not something we take lightly, it's what compels us to get up in the morning and make a difference.

AWeber customers are focused on growing their businesses and providing value to their own customers. We strive to provide them with the best tools to do just that.

Foster Respect & Cooperation

At its core, AWeber is a family. A warm, fuzzy, 100-person (and growing!) family. But how does a big team feel like a family?

It's all in our culture of respect and cooperation. It doesn't come from policy, it comes from treating people like people ‐ the way we all should be treated. Teams openly collaborate to solve problems, and we all work together to make our service the best it can be.

Our totally open workspace helps the collaboration along. We're not just the anti-cubicle office. We're the anti-office-door office where everyone is accessible.

Listen to What People Say About Us. Invite Feedback

You can't run a helpful company in a vacuum. That's why feedback is so important to us - internally and externally.

We're regularly named one of the best places to work in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania for a reason. Our internal suggestion boards, team surveys and Net Promoter Score tracking probably have a little bit to do with that.

Customer feedback is just as important to us. Our user experience team is continually using our customers' suggestions to upgrade our service.

Learn. Educate. Innovate

We're the ones who invented autoresponder emails, so we know all about innovation. As our CEO likes to say, "Dream big, fail fast and iterate on what works." Constant education is a big part of that. We encourage team members to keep learning by attending events and conferences or continuing formal education in their field.

We're all about educating our customers, too. We want your email campaign to be the best it can be, because when your business succeeds, we succeed too. We share all the advice we've learned in blog posts, webinars and guides - plus, we host monthly educational meetups at our headquarters.

Don't Take Ourselves Too Seriously. Have Fun.

As serious as we are about our service, we seriously enjoy every minute of our work here. And we know how to have some serious fun.

Sometimes we kick it old school with pinball and arcade games. Sometimes we flaunt our athletic sides with ping pong, foosball and basketball. Sometimes we shoot each other with Nerf guns.

It's all about loving what you do and having fun while doing it.

I have been working at AWeber full-time

    Pros

Having worked for AWeber for several years, I absolutely love where this company is right now. I love what we've learned. I love how we handled adversity. I love where we're headed.

There was a period where the product, and company as a whole, was not innovating to the level that they desired. It took some time, but the company has really found it's groove. They're releasing new, exciting, and engaging features for their customers, and the business administration continues to try to make AWeber a desired place of employment for both current and prospective employees.

The company recently increased the amount of PTO that employees accrue after being employed with the company for a certain amount of years. This change was based on employee feedback, so it says to me that the company continues to listen to it's employees and act on their feedback. I'm really excited to see where this company is in just 2 years. I don't think it will be long before AWeber is back on top as the best email marketing option for most small business owners.

    Cons

There are several opportunities for team member growth and development that the company provides; however, some of those opportunities, like dedicated leadership training, are not available all year round due to scheduling and/or team member availability. Where I understand why this occurs, it'd be awesome to have more frequent leadership training opportunities that occur throughout each year.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees and actively having conversations with them about what they believe could help improve AWeber.
