I worked at Abstrakt Marketing Group full-time (More than a year)
The environment is awesome. You will find no complaints there with the atmosphere or the people. Not always for everybody but is very lively and energetic. The PSR role was a great learning experience. Obviously nobody wants to the dialing for the rest of their life but it's a great skill to acquire and say you did. I learned about new industries and spoke to managers and CEO's across the country. My professionalism and communication skills were much better on my way out than the way in. Abstrakt does promote from within but you most likely will be interviewing for a role against a lot of others so it is competitive. New pay plan for PSR role which was nice.
The role is hard work and like any sales jobs frustrating when you make 140 dials and get 0 appointments set in a day but it's part of the job I took. Metric driven and can at times be a little micro managed IF you bring it upon yourself. If you don't like competitive environments, metrics, cold calling or rejection the role will not be for you.
Advice to Management
Finding other times outside of lunch for some of the required meetings.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Abstrakt Marketing Group (Saint Louis, MO) in May 2013.
Talked with the recruiter, then the director. I waited a little bit to meet with the recruiter, but he was very nice once we met. He gave me a quick tour around the office, and then introduced me to the director. We sat down in his office and he interviewed me. It was easy to talk to him, and I did not feel nervous or intimidated by him. Everyone seemed to like their job, and the office was decorated with funny pictures of the workers.
