I have been working at Academy of Art University full-time (Less than a year)
The job is low-stress with creative atmosphere. I have great coworkers. This position is perfect if you're looking for a day job while you pursue your dreams in the career you want outside of your day job. I'm not bringing my work home with my at all. When I clock out, I mentally clock out of work too. I never bring home any drama from work or any projects and the department is very strict on allowing us to use our off time (breaks, lunches, off-the-clock) as OFF time.
This position is not a route to build a career unless you would like to work in school admissions
Advice to Management
The management for my department is great! They really listen to our needs and make decisions best for our department. I really appreciate it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Academy of Art University (San Francisco, CA).
I applied online and got a call a few days later from the internal recruiter. We did a phone call, then a skype interview, and then I was invited for an on site interview. They were extremely responsive and quick during the process, but then when I was no longer under consideration, I never received any communications. I even emailed the recruiter to ask if I was still under consideration, and did not receive any response. I found it quite rude that they did not provide any follow up or respond to my inquiry.
