Mission: Our mission is to equip business leaders to achieve their most important initiatives.
I have been working at Achieveit full-time (More than a year)
The work is challenging and exciting, without demanding overtime work, though going the extra mile is celebrated. The impact of every move you make as an employee is felt and recognized by the team. I find the atmosphere to be supportive and open-minded. Feedback is regularly fielded and heard. Strong female leadership role models. Maintains a determined and dedicated team. Interpersonal dynamics are fun and personable, like an extended family. Comfortable dress code and lighthearted swearing. A fair amount of social and charity events, in and out of the office. Generous PTO package. Not an over-the-top "#agencylife" culture, but relaxed and fun while still hard-working and professional.
As with most early stage companies, business strategies tend to be short-lived. While always willing to try a new approach or methodology, the agile twists and turns can be jarring, but are always backed by optimism. The team is still trying to find traction any way possible, and willing to abandon projects quickly if they're not effective, which requires quick adjustment and a positive mindset. Quick to turn over employees if they're not a good fit for the role. No 401k match.
Advice to Management
Continue to interview employees for a really strong match - not just for what the job entails today, but for showing initiative, desire for growth, and for cultural and team fit as well.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Achieveit (Atlanta, GA) in May 2018.
First and only contact was an online coding test. 4 part, timed, 2 hours max. Brush up on your algorithms and do lots of code drills, like at CodeWars, if you want to get a position here. The platform they use runs unit tests against your code.
Not all unit tests run until you submit. Make sure to add your own. Ensure you protect against unexpected types.
Make sure you set up a separate IDE to code, as the web editor they use isn't very good.
We hope you all had a great holiday and are as ready for the new year as we are! Here's to 2019!
Our Spooky Halloween Bash was a blast! Everyone had amazing costumes, we drank tons of great craft beer, and now everyone's sore from playing many vigorous rounds of Spikeball. Cheers!
