I have been working at ActivePDF full-time (Less than a year)
The problems we solve are at a level of complexity that creates an incredible experience. Working with such talented executives, project managers, salespeople, administrators, and developers makes workdays very fun and interesting. ActivePDF means it when they say 'work/life balance'.
I can see that we're working on improving the processes.
Advice to Management
Keep working toward the vision.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ActivePDF in October 2015.
An outsourced HR professional sent me a long list of questions via email. It basically asked me to prove how much digital marketing I know, my current salary, and why I am looking for a new job.
My phone interview experience was negative, to put it lightly. I felt like I was being attacked over the phone regarding my professional history. It's almost as if he thought that I lied on my resume. After being grilled with all of these questions about my work experience, he stated "I enjoyed talking to you." Unfortunately, I can't say the same for him! He referred me to management to see if they would like to interview me in person.
An ActivePDF employee then requested an interview with me. So on to the in-person interview... I basically was asked the same questions the phone interviewer asked me. I could tell that the chemistry between the two interviewers and I was nonexistent, so I left after just 20 minutes. I wasn't disappointed at all when I never heard from them again.
It seems like they want a jack of all trades who has a few years of experience, which is quite hard to find. I have a plethora of marketing experience, but I lack B2B experience.
