    Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Adams Extract & Spice (Austin, TX).

    Interview

John Adams had been trying to hire me for years. I was a food broker years ago in El Paso and represented his company. He was well pleased with that experience and wanted me to manage his sales organization. When I retired from H.E.B. (age 55), I finally accepted his offer. Mr. Adams sold the company the week after I retired.

    Interview Questions

    • Relocation was a difficult issue. Mr. Adams wanted me to live in Austin, to which I reluctantly agreed.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Like pulling teeth. In the end I told him what I would have to have and he agreed.
