I worked at Adaptive Solutions Group full-time (Less than a year)
ASG emphasizes a people-centric model of business. I was encouraged to get to know my candidates and meet with them regularly, and many people I met with said that was not the case with other recruiters. They also focus on training you really well in one area of IT (for example, I recruited mainly for .NET) so that you can really understand what skill sets are important for jobs under that umbrella instead of just looking for buzzwords on a resume. The office culture at ASG was one of the best I've been in! Management was very open to feedback and cared about making you feel like a valued member of the team. There was always something fun to look forward to, like happy hours, potlucks, birthday snacks, games, and contests. I left to pursue teaching, but even after the people were still friendly and supportive. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to work in recruiting!
You have to be able to ride the roller coaster of a sales job, but they work hard to make sure you are trained well.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Adaptive Solutions Group (Saint Louis, MO) in March 2011.
The interview process was average. It was for a large pull of talent in the St Louis area for a large client.
