I worked at Advance Kids part-time (Less than a year)
Making a difference in kids lives, few requirements for eligibility to be a tutor, compensation was okay
Was not given enough clients to have as many hours as desired, the training was short and was not hands-on, expectations for sessions were often unreasonable in the time alotted, upper management/CEO was inexperienced
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Advance Kids.
Interviewed with two other candidates which I thought absolutely did not fit with the type of people you would want working there. I felt like I was competing with the other candidates to get my voice heard and felt I had to be aggressive. I also felt that the interviewer was quite rude. He gave this impression through his demeanor and body expression that he really didn't want me to be there. I also had to fill out a long application when they already had that information. By looking at the face of the coworkers I could tell it was a work environment I didn't want to be in.
