I applied through college or university. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Advantage Metals Recycling (Kansas City, MO) in Nov 2018
InterviewDavid J Joseph attended my university's Career Fair and I applied for the position online through Handshake. I heard back quickly that I had been selected for a first round, in-person interview. The interview was mostly resumé based with general questions about past experiences and why I was interested in the job. It lasted about 30 minutes. Within a couple of weeks I heard back that I was selected to interview in Kansas City with the Advantage Metals Recycling team (part of the DJJ company). The AMR team was extremely friendly and welcoming when I arrived. The process consisted of six separate interviews as well as a personality/general knowledge test that took about an hour. Upon completion of the test and individual interviews, I was given a tour of the scrap yard where I had a chance to learn more about the recycling process and how that intersected with the position that I was applying for. In its entirety, the process took roughly five hours. However, it was very engaging and the team did a good job of making everything run smoothly.
