Mission: The mission of AdventHealth Central Texas is “Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ”. As a non-profit hospital, we are a community benefit that exists to improve and enhance your overall health and well-being.
I have been working at AdventHealth Central Texas full-time (More than a year)
AdventHealth has a mission second to none. The team here is working hard to deliver on their brand promise of "feel whole." The hospital C-suite is actively engaged and focused on creating a positive and healthy environment for not only the patients, but the staff that come to the hospital. AdventHeath has undergone a lot of change in the past two years and will continue to strive to do a little better each day.
While they don't always deliver and get things right, this hospital has undergone a massive rebranding efforts that go beyond just a name change. The culture at the hospital is being more customer focused and driven to deliver on its mission of "Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ." This change means every leader at the hospital is asked to step up and do more and do better than they have done in the past. At times change is hard! But I am optimistic that great things are yet to come from AdventHealth and I'm excited to be along for the journey.
Advice to Management
Change can be tiring. When possible, pause and allow staff and leaders to adjust to the change before continuing the race forward. Thank you for more actively engaging and communicating with staff. It is much appreciated.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AdventHealth Central Texas (Killeen, TX) in December 2016.
My initial interview was via phone. I had applied for this position in October and was initially called mid-November. It was simple and given by the office manager of the department which questions were geared toward what could I bring to the table. A week later they called again to set up a face-to-face interview which would happen in another week. Within that timeframe it helped to research the whole organization as they did ask the background of the Adventist. Many of the questions asked (as they were two pages long) were geared toward office procedures as well as how to handle sticky situations. I was interviewed by both the HR department and the office manager. The whole process was simple and at ease. I am still waiting to know if I did get the job and will update further.
