Mission: The mission of AdventHealth Fish Memorial is “Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ”. As a non-profit hospital, we are a community benefit that exists to improve and enhance your overall health and well-being.
I have been working at AdventHealth Fish Memorial full-time (More than 5 years)
Always get your days off
Management is very open
Able to grow your advanced skill set (intubations, arterial lines, balloon pump, ultrasound use for line placement (IVs, Arterial Lines, Midlines, PICC lines), can work in cath lab, can administer conscious sedation, etc.)
Fast paced (makes the days go by quicker)
In comparison to other places I've worked this is by far the best place. It is like no other.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AdventHealth Fish Memorial (Orange City, FL) in October 2010.
Interviewed by HR; relatively basic questions (company profile, personal strengths and weaknesses; nothing out of the ordinary). They make you take a personality test, occupation related test, and all employees were required to take a visual acuity test (to test for color blindness). The employer requires a drug, alcohol, and nicotine test; they also test for TB test and encouraged Hepatitis B vaccine prior to hire.
No negotiation; HR manager looked at payment grid and applied rate per hour.
