I worked at Adventist Health System full-time (More than 5 years)

Very employee centered, great benefits, yearly bonus, opportunities to help and volunteer within the community, as well as grow within the company, generous PDL package. The best place I have ever worked.

The only downside I can mention is from a personal standpoint. I was part of the transcription department and the company made the decision to outsource the department instead of keeping it in-house. Consequently we all lost our jobs, and I did not want to leave.

    Advice to Management

This company is faith-base and is all about extending "The Healing Ministry of Christ." The decision to outsource our department could have been handled with more professionalism and regard in keeping with their mission, if those who actually made the decision to outsource had personally met with us. It felt as though it was all about the bottom line, without any consideration as to how this decision would affect our lives and those of our families. This may not have made a difference in the ultimate decision, but it would have been a lot more honest and representative of the company's mission. Having said this, I still wish I had my job with them. They are an excellent organization to work for and to be a part of.
