Advice to Management
Keep mentoring everyone! Lets help everyone
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Advertising and Charity Events Marketing (Philadelphia, PA).
Applied and received a quick response inviting me to a preliminary interview with the CEO. Arrived for the preliminary interview and saw on the door that the suite was shared by other organizations. This wouldn't have been a big deal except one of the other businesses was one I had received a last minute interview offer from and they had seemed shady so I hadn't gone in for that one. I figured I was already there so I may as well carry on. I go in for my scheduled appointment and am told to fill out an application and that I would be seen shortly. I fill out the application and fifteen minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start, the interviewer finally comes out. That 15 minutes in the waiting room had solidified my feeling that something was off but again, already there. I meet with the hiring manager and she asked pretty typical interview questions but does sort of cut off some of my responses (which were not particularly long). By the end of the interview, she had told me I was getting a second round interview and that someone would call later with more details. That call came and originally I accepted...until I followed my instincts and did more research. Another poster here submitted an interview review (and they had gone on the second interview so they had more information to offer) that sounded similar to my experience and reaffirmed my unease. I declined the second interview.
