Mission: Together let's make healthy happen.
On May 6 - 12, National Nurses Week, we recognize and celebrate our 22,000 nurses for their continued commitment to excellence – especially in the face of ever-changing challenges and adversity of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re in this together – and our nurses are playing a leading role in keeping us together with the work they’re doing every day to care for our communities and each other. #InThisTogether
COVID-19 is surging differently across the country, and some Advocate Aurora Health hospitals have been experiencing higher volumes of patients testing positive with the virus. When a call went out for nurses with ICU experience, Kristy Gunia of Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital was one of the first to volunteer. Kristy was transferred from Sheboygan to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL to help assist in the opening of an additional Intensive Care Unit. Kristy said volunteering was an easy decision, “I know that if the tables were turned, our nurses from Illinois would do the same, so I didn’t hesitate to offer my time.” #HealthCareHeroes
Caring for nearly 3 million people has inspired a transformation. One in which the patient’s experience guides our vision and empowers us to offer new possibilities in our communities.
With our dynamically inclusive workforce and strong connections to the places where we live and work, we’ll touch more lives and contribute to stronger and more vibrant communities.
We’re redefining the standard for care with world-class doctors and caregivers, innovative solutions, outstanding outcomes, and leading-edge research and clinical trials. Combined, Advocate and Aurora are recognized for clinical excellence in:
