Pushing the limits of data and technology

 Our teams are pushing the limits of mobile and big data tech to better understand and improve the driving experience. We’re innovating at a massive scale, maintaining best-in-class technology partners – including Amazon AWS, Nice/IEX, Salesforce and Stripe – and using serverless architecture and cloud computing to get out in front of challenges that impact tens of millions of drivers today and tomorrow. As part of the MIT Advanced Vehicle Technology consortium, Agero and MIT teams are leading the way in understanding the impact assisted-driver and more autonomous vehicles have on driver behavior. And our efforts are being noticed by all the right people: At the 2017 AWS re:Invent conference, Amazon CTO Werner Vogels highlighted Agero’s MileUp in both his keynote address and in breakout sessions, praising us for building this highly successful mobile app on a responsive, scalable platform using an entirely serverless mobile backend. Raj Behara, our VP of Mobile Engineering, also presented at the event, highlighting Agero’s early and successful use of Amazon Web Services (AWS).  

 Agero’s five state-of-the-art customer contact centers help us protect over 80 million motorists in North America – almost 1 in 3 vehicles on the road today. Our award-winning Customer Care Associates respond to nearly 11 million requests for roadside help each year, assisting 30,000 people a day in their time of need, during vehicle breakdowns, road events, and accidents.

Each of our five contact centers and our corporate headquarters are actively engaged in their communities, carrying on a strong tradition of giving back on an ongoing basis through a wide variety of corporate and individual fundraising efforts. We also sponsor and participate in established as well as ad hoc local volunteer initiatives. Our people care, and so do we.

    institutional resistance to change and politics remains. that being said, with each new product and customer win, these voices grow fainter but they remain.

    I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Agero (Medford, MA) in January 2018.


    Rewarding, demanding and exciting interview process. Recruiter guided me before each and every interview rounds.
    1st call was with recruiter. It was very basic and questions about my experience and interests. Then 2 Skype interviews (with Hiring manager and senior data science engineer). I had to reschedule my interviews at the last moment due to my vacation but recruiter was very responsive and quick in rescheduling interviews.
    Then, got a call for an onsite interview with senior engineers of the data science team. They were really nice and patient in asking questions. Each round was very interesting and questions were more around my experience. Mostly ML, statistics and AWS. Some behavioral questions. One of the round was about deriving a mathematical equation for a given scenario and then writing a pseudo code.
    Lastly, I had a quick call with HR to make sure my visa status and processes. I was presented the verbal offer after 1 day. Overall it was very good experience.
