I have been working at Aggreko full-time (More than 5 years)
Good culture and drive to support customer.
Good technician training (when they actually send you)
Average pay - better than many truck shops, but less than our major competition
Good company to get your feet wet in rental generator industry and then move on to competition
Terrible management, especially at the local level.
Only views technicians as "replaceable assets" not as valuable individuals
Can be hard to have a good work/life balance
Advice to Management
Take care of your people in the trenches. Quit restructuring every 2 or 3 years. We need stability.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Aggreko (Pearland, TX) in January 2017.
Applied on line in late December, one week later had a phone screen with the recruiter. A few days later had a telephone interview with the hiring manager and senior BDM. Two days later did a telephone sales assessment, and within a few days was scheduled to fly to Pearland for a number of interviews. Had 4 separate interviews with hiring manager, senior BDM, and 2 senior engineers. Dinner with the sales manager and another senior engineer, then the next morning a final interview with the VP. These guys move impressively fast and was informed of the decision within the timeframe they said. Unfortunately was not offered a position, I think this would be a great company to work for.
