Our team members have the benefit of hands-on and computer-based training to make sure we are ready to offer the highest level of care for our customers. Plus, we offer one-on-one training at each of our apartment communities, so the same Aimco service and expertise is found at all of our locations across the country.

We offer an annual scholarship program for college-aged children of team members. Since 2004, Aimco has awarded 491 college scholarships to help team members with the cost of higher education. When team members are faced with unexpected financial emergencies, Aimco Cares 4 U provides help to ease the burden. And when team members are deployed for active military duty, Aimco continues to pay their full salaries and benefits during their service to our country.
Building community is a priority for Aimco. We provide 10 paid hours to each team member annually to volunteer in local communities. Each year, Aimco Cares sponsors two national weeks of community service during which team members collectively contribute thousands of volunteer hours to hundreds of non-profit and community organizations - more than 145 separate events were held nationwide in 2014!
Through the annual Aimco Cares Charity Golf Classic, we have raised nearly $2.93 million for charitable causes since the tournament began in 2004. Beneficiaries have included the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides counseling and support services to children and spouses of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice; Project Sanctuary, which offers family retreats that offer a constructive and unique way for our nation's heroes to reconnect with loved ones and readjust to life at home; and the Aimco Opportunity Scholarship Fund for college-bound students living in subsidized affordable housing in partnership with the National Leased Housing Association.

Advice to Management
Keep pushing forward with positively influencing our culture and cultural expectations throughout the company. Be careful about sending mixed messages (e.g., rewarding those who perform well financially but who do not live by our values and culture sends the wrong message). Keep showing the team you care deeply for us by continuing to listen to team member ideas and improving our culture.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Aimco Apartment Homes (Denver, CO) in March 2018.
I was contacted for a phone interview 2 days after submitting my application. My interviewer was polite and personable, and we spoke for roughly 40 minutes. This company is big on company culture, and that part made me very excited to work for them. They were looking to hire quickly, and at the end of the call I was offered the opportunity to come in and meet the team I would be working with.
