Our Community Managers ensure the leasing experience is worry-free and are constantly finding ways to make you feel even more at home. Our Service Managers make sure each apartment home is ready for move in and that the community is clean and well cared for. When the inevitable service needs do arise, we solve problems quickly and professionally.
We give our team the tools to serve customers better.
Our team members have the benefit of hands-on and computer-based training to make sure we are ready to offer the highest level of care for our customers. Plus, we offer one-on-one training at each of our apartment communities, so the same Aimco service and expertise is found at all of our locations across the country.

At Aimco, we are passionate about making sure you are happy. Through our customer touch point program, we conduct comprehensive surveys to assess your satisfaction levels beginning with the leasing process to your move-in day. We continue to conduct regular surveys of current and former residents in order to ensure that we are doing our best to meet your needs and to find new ways to make our communities even better.

Each of our communities is part of the Aimco family. Our goal is to make sure each of our apartment communities thrive – and you benefit from a professional, collaborative team effort.
We offer an annual scholarship program for college-aged children of team members. Since 2004, Aimco has awarded 491 college scholarships to help team members with the cost of higher education. When team members are faced with unexpected financial emergencies, Aimco Cares 4 U provides help to ease the burden. And when team members are deployed for active military duty, Aimco continues to pay their full salaries and benefits during their service to our country.
Building community is a priority for Aimco. We provide 10 paid hours to each team member annually to volunteer in local communities. Each year, Aimco Cares sponsors two national weeks of community service during which team members collectively contribute thousands of volunteer hours to hundreds of non-profit and community organizations - more than 145 separate events were held nationwide in 2014!
Through the annual Aimco Cares Charity Golf Classic, we have raised nearly $2.93 million for charitable causes since the tournament began in 2004. Beneficiaries have included the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), which provides counseling and support services to children and spouses of military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice; Project Sanctuary, which offers family retreats that offer a constructive and unique way for our nation's heroes to reconnect with loved ones and readjust to life at home; and the Aimco Opportunity Scholarship Fund for college-bound students living in subsidized affordable housing in partnership with the National Leased Housing Association.

I have been working at Aimco Apartment Homes full-time (More than 5 years)
I have been working for Aimco for 6 years. During this time I have been able to grow within the company from a sales job to community manager and a career in property management. Through internal courses and being reimbursed for outside courses contributing to my professional growth the investment in team members is evident. If you are willing to put in the effort the opportunity to grow is there. I can say it cause Im living it.
Technology is great, however we try to do more with less and that begins to affect life work balance

Incentive plans, commissions rising based om performance are great. How about stock as reward to have a bigger sense of ownership
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aimco Apartment Homes (Denver, CO) in March 2019.
I applied online for the open position. I was called by the Corporate Recruiter and we had a long phone discussion (over 45 minutes). We talked about the role, the duties, the company as a whole, what my previous experience was, what I was looking for in a new job, and how much money I was looking to make.
I was brought in for an interview and first interviewed with the recruiter. After that was over, I was next sent to a Director to interview. We interviewed for over an hour. After that, I was sent to interview with a VP, who I also interviewed with for a length of time - probably 30 minutes. All of the questions were similar, but there were different ones as well. They seemed like they were really trying to get to know me and wanted to know what my long-term career goals were. They had me give lots of scenarios, about how I had handled past situations. They wanted to know about stressful situations, challenging situations, situations where I had collaborated, situations where I had gone above and beyond, etc. They went into detail about my current and former positions, including wanting details about why I left my previous jobs. They let me know that I would need to provide references. Overall, the interview process was EXTREMELY thorough. I left knowing a lot about Aimco, a lot about the team, about the role, and about what a day-in-the-life of the position would look like. I was there interviewing for close to 3 hours.
