    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Akraya (San Jose, CA) in May 2017.

    Interview

I was contacted by one of their recruiters for a position. I did everything asked of me by this recruiter. I should have known by his first question "What are your salary requirements?" that this was another "Do nothing" recruiter. I was asked to call him back immediately after the phone interview (which I did) and followed up. The interviewer at the company said she would get back to them within 24 hours (a topic we talked about - follow up) and I would be let known. I called the recruiter back the next day and was given a story about having a call with Hiring mgr that day and he would get back to me after the call with them...No call back (surprising??) , I again called the recruiter the following day..same bums rush and "I will call you by the end of the day"...again NO CALL BACK. Finally I called recruiter today...a WEEK LATER...and he gives me the "They're going with another candidate etc etc"...Ok GREAT..A SIMPLE PHONE CALL OR EMAIL informing we would be good business practices!! Telling me it "slipped your mind" after I contacted YOU multiple times and you were TOO AFRAID to give me news is just wrong! Understand YOU are playing with peoples families and lives and this is NOT A GAME. YOU are what give recruiters a bad name. I will never take another call or email from people at Akraya for any kind of position.
