I worked at Ala Costa part-time (Less than a year)
Flexible hours, challenging work, some nice coworkers, some nice students
Unorganized, horrible work space, unethical and incompetent director, no employee protection whatsoever, work at your own risk, low pay for hard work, director is making bank for doing next to nothing
Advice to Management
Treat your employees with more respect and give incentive for hard work. Be organized and coherent
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Ala Costa (New York, NY) in August 2013.
Group interview for potential staff, awkward. Lots of young people just out of college applying for one position. Spent a day shadowing a group of students/staff.
