Mission: Who We Are - By Movie Lovers For Movie Lovers
What We Do - Ensure every guest has an awesome experience and is excited to come back
How We Do It - Do the right thing
I have been working at Alamo Drafthouse full-time (More than a year)
Easy job, many opportunities for growth into different areas of the company
Not as organized due to short notice of movie schedule (not their fault)
I applied online. I interviewed at Alamo Drafthouse (Austin, TX) in May 2017.
I was 5 minutes early, pretty standard for interviews. I waited about 35 minutes in the lobby before the manager came out and spoke with me. I am more or less overqualified for this position, so being offered this below living-wage without a part of the tipshare/tips was pretty offputting. I did accept because of the job atmosphere, benefits, and shift meals. I just can't believe the amount of money this company takes in vs what they pay their employees.
The manager did tell me that the hours thin out in the fall and winter and that their employees tend to suffer.
