I worked at Aldine Independent School District full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The salary is good. Where I worked the staff were friendly and helpful. They offer educational training in the summer and throughout the school year

    Cons

Tons of paperwork, very controlled, reading department required all classrooms look the same, teachers teach the same way. Unable to feel like yourself. Teachers are overworked with no rewards. You will work after hours and on weekends. Not a lot of support from administrators.

    Advice to Management

Fix your reading program and move administrator around every five years

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Aldine Independent School District (Houston, TX).

    Interview

Online interview and in person follow up, one to one with the principal, pretty simple questions. Not that long maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Didn't have to wait, Started on time. Principal was not very intimidating, felt comfortable and was told kids can be challenging.
