I worked at Alelo TLT, LLC. full-time (More than 5 years)
The work was very interesting and challenging and the people were great to work with. The work felt pretty meaningful since we worked in the military language training space.
A lot of management decisions didn't make sense; a lot of management overhead in general.
Due to being a government contractor there was a lot of weird restrictions on things (free sodas not allowed) and time tracking was a bit onerous.
Advice to Management
Get advice from technical staff throughout the contract bidding process. The technology has great commercial potential if only it was pursued. Games and language training could be great but things need to be more game like.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Alelo TLT, LLC. (Culver City, CA) in January 2014.
I was referred the position by an employee, and first discussed the position over the phone with the hiring team. I was then brought in for an in-person interview. Both were extremely positive and straight forward. Asked detailed descriptions of previous employment and some basic technical conversation to make sure we were on the same page.
Painless. Received my asking price.
