Tuition Assistance and Certification Programs

Alion is dedicated to the growth of our employees in their chosen field. We offer a tuition assistance program to our full-time employees that can be used toward degree or certificate coursework as well as training programs on specific software or emerging concepts in their field that will better enable them to succeed and grow.

Alion University

Alion feels very strongly about the continued personal and professional development of its employees. Not only does a comprehensive training and education program improve business results, but it also provides employees the opportunity to set career paths and improve their skills to continue career progression. Alion University serves as a tool to assist employees with their training needs. In addition to instructor led training programs, Alion University has recently launched a state of the art online learning portal where employees are able to access thousands of courses including business skills, IT skills and desktop skills 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

PMP® Certification

Alion is committed to providing employees with the skills, training and certifications to grow their careers as individuals and within the organization. As a Project Management Institute (PMI) Registered Education Provider, we offer Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification courses to help employees broaden their knowledge and meet globally-recognized standards.


Employees also participate in yearly training for ethics and export compliance. Additionally, some of our divisions participate in internal training programs during which employees educate their co-workers.

Fast Track Career Development Program

The Fast Track "Road to Success" Career Development Program (Fast Track Program) targets High Potential Employees (Employees) who have shown the personal motivation and drive to excel now and in the future. The Fast Track Program is expected to increase retention and it is also a good tool for succession planning to ensure availability of qualified employees across the company for new business and qualified replacements to backfill promotions and retirements.

    Extended one on one phone interview (~90 mins) which covered every detail of my resume. Be ready to elaborate on all relevant experiences in the phone interview and be prepared for very technical questions like "what is your favorite statistical test?" Pleasant conversational tone, interviewer seemed genuinely interested in learning about my background and interests.
