I have been working at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik full-time (More than a year)

Work/Home balance isn't just a catch phrase Best places to work in Wichita Top 100 Accounting firm to work for, 2 out of three years Competitive Pay Focused on community involvement Regionally recognized top firm Rewards top performers Encourage finding a mentor within the company

Don't work here if you're not driven to excellence, mediocrity doesn't go over well.

    Advice to Management

A more defined path to advancement or movement within the company (ie posting openings in other departments) would be helpful.

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Allen, Gibbs & Houlik.

Began with a phone interview, then some online testing. Followed by two more office interviews.

    Interview Questions

    • No question was difficult or unexpected. I chose to be as honest as possible so I would know for sure that we were a good match. I tried to mention my accomplishments, while listening and not interrupting while being spoken to. I did prepare and had been interviewed several times previously by other employers, so I think I was a little more relaxed than my first interview.   Answer Question

They base their offers on market-based averages. They were right on the bull's-eye with their offer. If your coming in out of college don't try to negotiate - just be thankful for the opportunity.
