"Great Culture"

Sep 15, 2022 - Anonymous Employee

Great benefits and culture. Everyone pitches in to get the job done and the roles are challenging in a good way.

Growing pains, working to create process and documentation.

  1. Product Manager Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Alloy (NY) (New York, NY) in Jun 2022

    1. Recruiter reached out to me about the role at Alloy
    2. Had a call with the Recruiter to learn more about the role and company (30 minutes)
    3. Had a call with the Hiring Manager, which was more behavioral questions (1 hour)
    4. Had a "think on your feet" interview with the Hiring Manager and one other Product Manager (1 hour)
    5. Had a final virtual onsite interview that consisted of 5 different interviews with multiple people in the interview:
    - Product Demo
    - Interview with other Product Managers + Designer (3 people)
    - Interview with Product Manager + Engineer (2 people)
    - Interview with Executives - Head of Product and 1 other (2 people)
    - Interview with Business Development/Solutions team (3 people)

The process was long and required a big commitment (I'd recommend going through with it only if you truly love the space).

The virtual onsite interviews with multiple people was not very effective because the interviewers did not know when one or the other was going to ask a question. There wasn't a good flow and some of them didn't even seem interested in being in the interview.

Also, one of the executives took the interview from the car and so you couldn't really connect during the interview.

Business case question about whether or not we should go into a specific market, and which market would you select.
