I have been working at Allscripts full-time (More than 8 years)
Great benefits, easy work, mostly great co-workers, super location
Upper management does not really trust individual department managers to run their own houses- this results in delayed decisions, and bad choices, because the only true decision makers are too far removed from the actual teams facing clients and doing the work. It is a house that cannot stand long term.
Advice to Management
If you cannot trust your directors and managers, get rid of them and bring on people that you CAN trust. Crushing their spirits never leads to success.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Allscripts.
A phone interview (~ 30 mins ) with basic OOPs and SQL questions. After a few weeks, scheduled onsite interview with four people. Onsite interview starts with basic C#, OOPS questions. Two whiteboard coding questions(nothing difficult). The second round is SQL and basic database questions, followed by HR type questions from Hiring manager.
