They have some good technology in degassing and molds
Smart but capricious owner/Chief Engineer. Constant design changes. Stringent, unnecessary work rules. Low pay. Reneged on 6 month salary increase. Many customers no longer want to work with company. Struggling to make money, with a lot of money spent on trying to impress potential customers. They completely blew an opportunity to enter a leading edge technology sector. High turnover.
Advice to Management
Institute a real project management system and adhere to it.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Almex USA (Los Angeles, CA) in November 2013.
Two meetings with owner and staff. Talked about the industry and technology. Also discussed future business opportunities. Met some of the staff. Discussed potential work topics over the next several months.
Tried to negotiate higher wage since the original offer was way below market. However, the company reneged on their promise for an increase after 6 months.
