Lifestyle Benefits

Working from home is not for everyone. It requires self-discipline and the ability to work independently. However, there are numerous benefits to working from a home office, including cost savings, scheduling flexibility, better work-life balance and a smaller carbon footprint.

At-home employees save thousands of dollars per year by avoiding costs typically associated with a traditional call center position including:

  • Gas required for commutes
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • Clothing and dry cleaning
  • Eating out

Beyond reduced expenses, working from home also has work-life balance and environmental benefits. SYKES Home offers a variety of programs that allow for working hours beyond a traditional 9-5 job. Did you know the average U.S. commuter spends almost 9 days worth of time per year just traveling to and from work? This is time saved for home-based employees. Other benefits include:

  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • No commute
  • The comfort of working from home
  • More time to spend with family and friends
